Sevy's Story

Sevy's Story is the classic "Geek to Chic" story. Growing up quiet, bookish and introverted, she was constantly bullied and taunted for her appearance, weight, and "nerdy" interests. Awkward and shy, she was oftentimes ridiculed and picked on to the point of even being physically abused.

A fateful day occurred when Sevdha wandered into an event in which another attendee recognized her. The spectator relentlessly tried to persuade the event planners to allow Sevdha to perform and on-the-spot demonstration. Not expecting much from the soft-spoken, bespectacled young woman, they initially disagreed, stating that they did not wish to "lower the quality" of the event. As time went on, however, a no-show performer gave way for time, and it was then reluctantly agreed for Sevdha to participate. It was said that a "completely different person exploded into being," to the shock of the audience, and the timid, unsuspecting young woman immediately transformed into a formidable, high-energy stage presence. Despite everyone's expectations, Sevdha (affectionately called, "Sevy Devy,") stole the show. Her story of transformation has earned her the nickname "Rose" in some circles, stemming no pun intended from the idea of the plain rosebud blossoming into the beautiful rose. Her story has since then gained much interest, even being selected to perform for the celebrity judges on America's Got Talent.
